【Course Advisement】


Q. Who should take an Online Course?

Anyone who is interested in Tsumami zaiku, likes handicraft and enjoy making things at home, kimono lovers, who wants to start new art, who likes origami, who want to learn authentic Japanese techniques, designers who are searching for new ideas.

 

Q. How do I select a course?

    If you are willing to take Traditional Courses, start from Basic Course. The curriculum is structured as three courses, so please take in order of Basic, Middle, and Advanced. You will not be able to start from the Middle or Advanced Course. Try a free lesson if you are considering taking the courses. There are also one-shot lessons.

 

Q. Are there prerequisites or language requirements?

There are no prerequisites. Our courses are open to students of all backgrounds. All courses are conducted in English. Video lectures include English subtitles. 

Q. Can I take more than one course at a time?

    No. The curriculum is structured as three courses, so please take in order of 1.Basic, 2.Middle, and 3.Advanced. You will not be able to start from the Middle or Advanced Course. If you register 3 courses at a time, you will get 10% discount. But you are always welcome to take one-shot lessons at a time.

Q. How do I access my course?

You will log in with the email and password created at the time of registration. 

 

Q. Do I need specific equipment to take Online Courses?

To start tsumami zaiku, you will need 4 basic tools (tweezers, wood board, bamboo spatula, and starch glue) and you will need specific tools for each lesson. (details will be in the course text)

Course Completion


Q. I completed my course! Now what?

Get your certificate: When you successfully complete an Online Course, you are eligible to receive a digital certificate of completion

 

Q. Is there a professional certificate or license program?

If you completed all 3 courses, (the Basic, Middle, and Advance courses), there is a chance to apply for ITA's Certified Teacher's license! (Detailed information coming in Nov. 2021.)
