Hello! My name is Angel. I’m an artist, craftsperson, and pastry enthusiast living on the snowy plains of Saskatchewan, Canada with my husband and our shiba inu named Shinyu.

Before changing my focus to tsumami-zaiku, I was a comic book artist, and hold a degree in Sequential Art from Savannah College of Art and Design. I became interested in tsumami-zaiku while I was taking metalsmithing and jewelry making courses in University, and have been in love with the craft ever since. Aside from tsumami-zaiku, I am also a writer and have completed five full length novels and one novella, two of which have now been made into audiobooks.

I have been asked to teach tsumami-zaiku workshops in the past for cultural events and conventions, and although I did teach one workshop I did not feel very confident in doing so. I wanted to gain teaching certification to sharpen my skills and to ensure that I had the proper education myself before teaching others.
